Introducing Sightline: See What AI Sees - Featured image illustrating AI Visibility strategies and best practices from E320 Consulting

Sightline, from E320 Consulting, is a new AI Visibility tool that shows you exactly what AI search engines say about your business when buyers ask for recommendations. Sightline is ready to go today, and the next wave of upgrades is already in active testing. If you want to know whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, or Claude recommends your company, or your competitor's, this is the tool to watch. Let us know if you are interested.

Why AI Visibility Matters Now

Buyer behavior has changed faster than most marketing stacks have adapted. When someone needs a plumber, an attorney, a pool builder, or a marketing agency, they increasingly ask an AI assistant instead of scrolling through pages of blue links. Those engines — ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, and Claude — answer with a short list of trusted recommendations pulled from the web.

Here's the uncomfortable part: you don't get to opt in or out of those answers. The engines are already forming opinions about your business today, whether or not you're paying attention. If your brand isn't cited when a prospect asks "Who is the best [your service] in [your town]?" — you're invisible at the exact moment a buying decision gets made. And you probably don't even know it's happening.

What Sightline Does

Sightline runs a structured audit across the major AI answer engines and reports, in plain language:

  • Where you're visible — the questions and searches where AI engines recommend your business.
  • Where you're invisible — the high-intent buyer questions where AI answers name your competitors instead of you.
  • Who's winning the citations — which competitor gets mentioned, and why the engines trust them.
  • Your share of voice — a measurable baseline you can improve month over month.

Every result is backed by the actual responses, so you're never guessing about what the engines said. It's the difference between assuming your marketing works and knowing what the fastest-growing search channel in the world actually says about you.

The Audit-Act-Prove Model

Most AI visibility reports on the market stop at diagnosis — a static PDF that tells you what's wrong and wishes you luck. We built Sightline around a different philosophy we call Audit-Act-Prove:

  1. Audit: Scan the AI engines against the buyer questions that matter to your business, across product, local, and comparison searches.
  2. Act: Get a prioritized action plan addressing relevant content, technical accessibility and authority gaps.
  3. Prove: Re-scan the same buyer questions on a regular cadence to test whether visibility changes, reporting gains, no change or declines honestly.

Marketing claims should be proven, not promised. Audit-Act-Prove closes the loop between knowing you're invisible and doing something measurable about it.

Our Methodology: How We Measure

Every Sightline measurement starts with a fixed panel of buyer questions — the actual phrases people use when they ask an AI assistant for a recommendation in your market. We build the panel from your real services and service area, corroborate every question against live Google search data, and agree the set with you before the baseline scan. Once set, the panel stays locked. That stability is deliberate: progress is only meaningful when it is measured against the same questions, in the same engines, every cycle.

Each cycle, we put the same questions to four AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Perplexity — and report two numbers together: your mention rate (the share of answers that name your business) and your share of voice (your mentions measured against the competitors the engines actually name). Every business the engines name is verified as a real, operating company; names that AI engines invent, and businesses that have closed, are flagged and excluded from scoring. Gains, plateaus, and declines are reported exactly as measured — no ranking promises, no cherry-picked windows.

Prefer Your Marketing Team to Implement the Fixes?

Keep your existing marketing team and stay in control of your website. Sightline can audit publicly available pages and sample AI answers, then provide a prioritized set of proposed fixes for your marketing team, agency or webmaster to implement. Recommendations may cover answer content, technical accessibility and supporting authority signals. This advisory route requires no website login, CMS integration or direct connection to your site.

Your team decides what to implement and publishes the changes. Once the work is confirmed live, we can check the public pages and re-scan the same buyer questions to assess what changed, including gains, no change or declines. Delivering recommendations is not the same as implementing them, and improved visibility, citations or leads are not guaranteed. Private analytics or Search Console information can add context if you choose to share it separately.

What If You Don't Want a New Website?

You can keep a website that is already working for your business. Improving answer content does not automatically require a redesign. That is the opportunity we are testing with the Sightline Answers Hub.

Squarespace, Wix and WordPress can all serve readable, indexable content. What matters is the individual site's implementation: whether useful answers are accessible, clearly structured, accurately branded and supported by evidence. We diagnose those conditions rather than assume a platform is the problem.

The Answers Hub approach publishes question-focused pages on a dedicated subdomain such as answers.yourbusiness.com, without replacing your existing website. The pages address buyer questions identified in a Sightline audit and link to relevant pages on your main site.

We aim to deliver direct answers, clear headings, appropriate structured data and server-rendered content, then verify the live pages' accessibility, indexing signals and links. These measures remove avoidable technical obstacles. They do not guarantee that an AI engine will retrieve, cite or recommend a page. FAQ schema is not a shortcut to AI recommendations.

Setup requires cooperation from someone with DNS access, domain verification and HTTPS configuration. We may not need access to your existing website's CMS, but timing depends on the domain setup and DNS propagation. A subdomain does not automatically inherit the main site's authority; consistent branding and links help establish the relationship but do not guarantee attribution.

As we publish and verify new answers, we measure brand mentions, citations and relevant search or referral signals over time. The subdomain model is being tested, not presented as a proven source of visibility gains or leads. Improving the existing website may also be the right path where access is available.

Keep what works. Test a practical way to add better answers, and measure the result.

Ready Now, With the Next Upgrades in Testing

Sightline is ready to go. The four-engine audit, the verified competitor methodology, and the Audit-Act-Prove cycle are live and working with real businesses today. What continues in testing is the next layer: deeper measurement of how AI-sourced attention turns into visits and leads, and smarter ways to keep the question panels current as buyer language shifts. When those upgrades clear testing, you will read about them here first.

How the Industry Is Responding

The category Sightline operates in barely existed two years ago, and the industry has now caught up to the problem. Major SEO software suites have shipped their own AI visibility dashboards. Social feeds are full of $24-a-month tools promising autopilot AI content and visibility graphs. Enterprise marketing summits now run AI search as a core track, and job titles like GEO manager are appearing at large companies. When an idea goes from fringe to mainstream that fast, it confirms two things: the shift is real, and the tooling is getting crowded.

That crowding is exactly why honesty matters more than ever. A dashboard that estimates your visibility from one or two engines cannot tell you why you are missing. A content autopilot cannot tell you that the engines are recommending competitors that do not exist. The tools report. They do not diagnose, and they do not fix.

What Sets E320 Apart

Four things, plainly:

  1. Four engines, not two. Sightline reads ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Perplexity. Most tools on the market cover two or three at most, and free analyzers often cover one.
  2. Actual answers, not estimates. We read what the engines really say to real buyer questions, on a locked panel, every cycle.
  3. Human verification. Every business the engines name is checked as real and operating before it enters your numbers. AI-invented names and closed businesses are flagged and excluded.
  4. A managed loop, not a PDF. Audit, Act, Prove: a prioritized plan, implementation support, and honest re-measurement against the same questions.

And there is a fifth difference worth knowing about. The audits and the follow-through are run by E320's AI agent, Simeon. He executes the scans across all four engines, reads the answers, verifies the competitors, drafts the fix plans, and keeps the re-scan cadence on schedule. Keith sets the strategy and reviews every client deliverable; Simeon does the machine-scale legwork. That combination, a senior marketing brain with an AI workforce, is what lets a boutique consultancy deliver enterprise-grade measurement at small business prices.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sightline?

Sightline is E320 Consulting's AI Visibility tool — it audits what AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, and Claude say about your business, then gives you a prioritized plan to improve your visibility in AI answers.

Is Sightline available now?

Yes. Sightline is live and ready to work with your business, and the next set of upgrades is in testing now. Let us know if you are interested and we will set up your baseline audit.

Why does AI visibility matter for local businesses?

More buyers ask AI assistants for recommendations before they ever reach a website. If AI engines don't mention your business, you're invisible at the moment of decision — Sightline shows you where that's happening and how to fix it.

How is Sightline different from regular SEO?

Traditional SEO targets ranked link lists. Sightline targets AI-generated answers — a different system with different signals. The Audit-Act-Prove model also includes execution and re-scanning, so implemented changes and subsequent visibility results are measured, rather than assumed.

How does Sightline measure visibility?

Each cycle we ask a locked panel of real buyer questions across four AI answer engines — ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, and Perplexity — and report your mention rate and share of voice from the actual answers. Every competitor the engines name is verified as a real, operating business, and results — gains, no change, or declines — are reported exactly as measured.

Do I need a new website to improve my AI visibility?

Not necessarily. Where appropriate, a Sightline Answers Hub can add question-focused content on a dedicated subdomain without replacing the existing site. Setup requires DNS cooperation and live verification. We are testing whether this approach produces sustained visibility gains; recommendations, citations and leads are not guaranteed.

Can our marketing team implement Sightline's recommendations without giving E320 website access?

Yes. We can provide prioritized proposed fixes to your marketing team, agency or webmaster without logging into or connecting to your website. Your team implements and publishes the changes; we then check the publicly accessible pages and repeat the visibility measurements. This is an advisory, team-implemented option, not a claim that E320 has completed the fixes.

Who is Simeon?

Simeon is E320 Consulting's AI agent. He runs Sightline's four-engine scans, verifies every business the engines name, drafts the action plans, and keeps the reporting cadence on schedule, working under Keith's direction and review.
